Booking Terms & Conditions

Our Role

Silhouette Travels is a professional Travel Management Company. We arrange travel services on behalf of our clients through airlines, hotels, tour operators, insurance providers, private aviation companies and other carefully selected travel service providers.

Many travel services are delivered by third-party suppliers, each of whom operates under their own terms and conditions. Your booking may therefore be subject to both these Booking Terms & Conditions and the terms of the relevant supplier.

Quotations

All quotations provided by Silhouette Travels are subject to availability at the time of booking. Unless otherwise stated in writing:

A quotation does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

• Quotations are estimates only
• Prices are not guaranteed until confirmed
• Airline fares, hotel rates and supplier charges may change without notice
• Exchange rate fluctuations, taxes and supplier pricing may affect the final price

Confirming Your Booking

A booking is confirmed only when:

Until confirmation has been received, travel arrangements remain subject to availability.

• Your booking request has been accepted
• Payment (or any required deposit) has been received
• The relevant supplier has confirmed availability
• A booking confirmation has been issued by Silhouette Travels

Payments

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Depending on the services requested, payment may include deposits, staged payments, or full payment before ticketing or travel. Failure to make payment by the agreed deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking by the supplier.

Prices

Travel prices may change before confirmation due to factors including airline fare changes, hotel rate changes, exchange rate movements, fuel surcharges, government taxes and supplier pricing revisions. Once your booking has been confirmed, any subsequent changes will be governed by the terms applicable to your booking.

Changes Requested by You

If you request changes after your booking has been confirmed, we will make every reasonable effort to assist. Changes may be subject to supplier approval, fare differences, additional accommodation costs, administrative charges or cancellation penalties. Some bookings may not permit changes.

Supplier Changes

Occasionally, airlines, hotels or other suppliers may change or cancel services after a booking has been confirmed. Where this occurs, Silhouette Travels will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and assist you in understanding the options made available by the supplier. Silhouette Travels is not responsible for decisions made by third-party suppliers.

Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted as soon as possible. Cancellation charges may apply and are determined by the relevant airline, hotel, tour operator, insurance provider or other travel supplier. Silhouette Travels will explain any applicable cancellation charges before processing a request where possible.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier. Where a refund is approved, processing times vary by supplier, airline refunds may take several weeks, supplier administration charges may apply, and certain fares and services may be non-refundable. Silhouette Travels cannot guarantee supplier refund times.

Passports, Visas & Travel Documentation

Travellers are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, health documentation, vaccination certificates, entry permits and any other documentation required for their journey. Silhouette Travels provides guidance and administrative assistance but cannot guarantee visa approval or entry into any country.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travellers obtain appropriate travel insurance before travelling. Travel insurance helps protect against unforeseen circumstances, including medical emergencies, trip cancellations, baggage loss and travel disruption. Where requested, Silhouette Travels can assist in arranging suitable travel insurance through recognised insurance providers.

Traveller Responsibilities

Travellers are responsible for providing accurate information, checking booking confirmations, arriving at airports or departure points on time, complying with airline requirements, complying with immigration and customs regulations, and ensuring they are medically fit to travel where applicable. Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect travel arrangements.

Force Majeure

Silhouette Travels shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or losses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, pandemics, government restrictions, airport closures or supplier insolvency. Where such circumstances arise, we will make every reasonable effort to assist.

Complaints

If you experience any difficulty during your journey, please notify the relevant supplier immediately where appropriate and contact Silhouette Travels as soon as reasonably possible. We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and promptly. Complaints should be submitted in writing together with any supporting documentation to enable us to investigate fully.

Limitation of Liability

Silhouette Travels acts as an intermediary between travellers and independent travel service providers. Except where liability arises directly from our own negligence or breach of contract, we shall not be responsible for acts, omissions or failures of third-party suppliers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Booking Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
